O. Bruce Gupton

Bruce has pursued a lifelong interest in topics such as (a) strategic alignment, (b) senior-level reporting, (c) governance, risk, and compliance, and (d) all aspects of management process transformation, for clients in both the public and private sectors. He has a proven track record in working collaboratively with large, complex organizations in architecting and implementing common sense solutions that bridge the gap from rhetoric to results.

He spent his early career with IBM and EDS, and later served as a management consulting partner in the New York office of PwC and as a Fortune 100 CIO. He subsequently formed his first management consulting firm (ISS), working for numerous public sector organizations as well as private sector clients such as American Express, Bank of America, Citigroup, GE, JPMorganChase, Unilever, and Verizon. After selling ISS to Renaissance Solutions, Bruce co-founded GMI in 2001 with Frank Marrs, who retired in 2021.

Bruce received a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, and completed all course work for a PhD in accounting and information systems from New York University. He is a Certified Management Accountant and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
